Chapter 03 — README.md
What Kind of Story is This?
Every person has his own unque Story, this is mine

stages though last 6 years
University Life
1st year - The explorer
After I finished the GCE O/Ls, I got an offer from a university to do the degree in Software Engineering. at that time I had discovered that I have an interest in cybersecurity. But since I can’t afford a cybersec degree, I choose the degree anyway.
the freshman year was truly a exploration time period. I was doing bunch of courses, learning from tryhackme, portswigger, TCM security, and try to do some CTFs as well.
2nd year - pure academics
I don’t even know what happen to the 2nd year. it was completely filled with academics. we had exams for months , lectures day & night. As i remembered, my friends gang would call this time period as “exam season”.
In the part time , I was tried different things . for some months I try to contribute to Open Source Projects. I try to fix typos, fixing UI responsive issues, try to fix good first issues, but none of my PRs got merged or accepted. I discovered that open source was not my thing. After that I was seriously started to doing bug bounty. I tried in Integriti and hackerone ,but I was too noob for that .So I randomly started testing websites that I day to day interact with. That’s how I found many bugs in websites like Kajabi, SLT Rainbow pages, Government sites, and some Sri Lankan E Commerce sites. I mainly report foreign websites because If i report the government websites , there is a possibility that they would think that I was the hacker trying to attack them.the funny thing is some companies fixed those reported vulnerabilities but the most of the websites that I report, even after nearly 3 years, the same high impact vulnerability still exist.
3rd year - Wanna be Marc Lou
for about 6 months , I thought that im gonna launch the next banger SaaS just like Marc lou. But to be honest , I wasn’t consistent. I was jumping between multiple projects whenever I felt bored on the project. the end result … I didn’t launch any SaaS.
after a while , me and one of my friends we started to do freelancing. But not in Fiver ,upwork or anything , we cold call and try to find projects. to be surprise It went very well. Till to present the direct approaching clients works pretty well.
4th year - Freelancer
I was a full time freelancer and attend classes, did all the university related works. Seriously freelancing fits very well for me because If I went to a internship at that time, I would probably mess up the degree because we had a unpredictable schedule of lectures. so since I don’t had a fix
